When Should You Get Your Equipment Serviced?

There comes a time in every restaurant owners life where they will need to get their appliances serviced. While we are huge believers in having them serviced regularly, sometimes it’s hard to keep the schedule up, and things get forgotten. If you haven’t serviced your equipment in a while, here is a quick guideline for when different items will need to be worked on.

Refrigerators & Freezers

There are a few key observations that will show when your fridge needs to be serviced. Ice on the exterior is one of the first warning signs. This can mean that the temperature is not correct on the inside. Temperature problems are another issue that you will find in refrigeration, whether it’s getting too cool or warming up. Door issues can come up with the unit won’t close or seal properly. Sometimes issues just come up from age. If your unit is more than 10-15 years old, it will probably need regular maintenance.

Ice Machine
